New Kingston School Board Member Announced

School Board Chairperson, Peter Broderick, announced today that Electra "Ellie" Alessio has been chosen as the new Kingston School Board member and will be seated at the Wednesday, November 7th meeting.  Ms. Alessio previously served on the School Board from 1979 to 1995 and brings 13 years of experience to the table. 

School Board Interviews

The Kingston members of the school board will be interviewing candidates for the open school board seat on Monday at 4 PM in the Library at Sanborn Regional High School.

Public Input Needed on Future of District’s Facilities

This Wednesday evening, September 19th, the Sanborn Regional School Board will host Professor Todd A. DeMitchell from the University of New Hampshire to facilitate a workshop regarding the options recently presented by the New England School Development Council (NESDEC) on the future of the District’s enrollments and facilities.  To see the options, please click here.

Earlier this year, the School Board asked New England School Development Council (NESDEC) to study the district's projected enrollments and facilities.

Middle School Student Wins Peace Poster Contest Peace Poster Winner Ashlyn Lytle

Earlier this year, several students participated in the Lion's Club Peace Poster Contest.  There were a total of 47 entries from our school, and they were all amazing designs.  Out of all of the entries, the Lion's Club selected one winner - a design that stood out from all the rest. 

 

Vote Approves Definition of Student Success for School District

On June 6th, the Sanborn Regional School Board approved a document that describes the attributes and skills that students will possess and demonstrate upon completion of a pK-12 education in the Sanborn Regional School District.

At the School Board meeting held on June 6th, Superintendent Ambrose presented the results of his Entry Plan, a process for new leaders to learn about the organization and community by meeting with its constituents.

Special Encore Performance of "Women and War" will be Dedicated to All Veterans

The Sanborn Regional High School Theater Troupe will hold an encore performance of Women and War on May 30th at 7PM in the auditorium.  This final performance will be dedicated to veterans and admission is free for them.

Middle School Student Wins Regional Award for "My Favorite Teacher" Essay

The book company Barnes and Noble chose Kassidy Butler, an 8th grade student at the Sanborn Regional Middle School as the winner of their "My Favorite teacher" contest.

Public Input Sought on New Policy

The Policy Subcommittee of the School Board has been working on a new policy about memorials that establishes an understanding between the district and the community regarding the use of physical memorials for events and gatherings to memorialize a student or anyone that's close to the district who has passed away.
