Micah Petillo and his wife, Rachel, have lived in Newton since 2009, and have three children in the Sanborn school system. He’s honored to serve our students and our community as a member of the Sanborn School Board by promoting academic excellence, a responsible fiscal approach, and a sustainable vision for the future. 

Professionally, Micah is a Creative Director in the Marketing department at Southern New Hampshire University—one of the largest, most-innovative nonprofit universities in the nation—where he brings the university’s mission of student success to life in national ad campaigns. 

Micah also holds degrees in Philosophy from Saint Anselm College and Boston College, and has been teaching college courses for over 15 years in the areas of Philosophy, Ethics, Religions of the World and the Humanities, both online and in the traditional classroom.  He hopes to put his deep academic experience and strategic background to work in his role on the school board.
